PTO BUDGET 2017 - 2018
The PTO sponsors programs that allow our children to maximize their educational experience while at Noah Wallace School. We strive to fund the following core PTO enrichment initiatives: Noah Wallace School Grant, Learning and Academic Programs, Community Building and Teacher Support.
Noah Wallace School Grant: Our largest single budget item is the PTO Grant Program. This annual grant is provided to the school for a large scale project. In past years, we have purchased a full classroom set of iPads for the school library, a Smart Board and flexible space furniture for the school's Maker Space, Chrome Books for every teacher in the school and most recently we made some terrific improvements to the school playground.
Learning/Academic Support: This money funds creative curriculum opportunities for our children such as field trips, cultural programs, music enrichment, Arts Fest, Field Day and other items not otherwise covered by the school budget.
Community Building: The PTO maintains the Rocket Fund each year for unforeseen events that impact families in our community; we also provide a scholarship to a high school student who is a Noah Wallace alum, as well as other events at our school.
Teacher Support: The PTO includes a budget for items that teachers may need for their students or classroom.
Family Events: We sponsor several school social events throughout the year, including the Fall Family Festival, Taste of Noah Wallace, Family Math and Game Night and the Winding Trails Picnic.
Communications & Incidental Expenses: In order to keep things running smoothing, we incur a few minor administrative expenses throughout the year that cover our website, publicity and book keeping fees (required by the Farmington School District).
Total Cost of PTO Core Enrichment Initiatives for the 2017-2018 School Year: $25,475 (preliminary)
